Filip Gielda

I’m Filip Gielda – a photographer and digital strategist based in Copenhagen, exploring new perspectives both online and around the world.

I’ve lived and worked in Poland, Greenland, Norway, and Denmark, and each place has shaped how I see and photograph the world. From the cultural contrasts of bustling cities to the serene vastness of Arctic landscapes, every experience has sharpened my eye for place, light, and atmosphere. My annual visits to Japan deepen an appreciation for craftsmanship, minimalism, and the quiet interplay of nature and culture – exploring hidden tea houses, artisan workshops, and centuries-old temples has taught me the value of subtlety and intentional design, lessons I carry into every interior, travel, and still-life commission.

When I’m not on assignment, I’m often on a motorcycle, opting for winding backroads that slow the pace and let me truly immerse in my surroundings. While digital photography keeps me nimble, analogue film has become a treasured medium for its tactile quality – it forces me to be deliberate and patient. Observing a moment as it unfolds, then watching it gradually come to life in the darkroom, is a reminder that creativity thrives in stillness and mindfulness.

Through the lens, I seek perspectives that invite a sense of timeless reflection.
