#1 - From Tokyo Toilets to Tomato Leaves

Sometimes it’s the simple things that remind us there’s a whole world to discover - films that linger, music that surprises, everyday objects that feel just right. Here are a few of my personal picks this month, in no particular order but with plenty of appreciation.

Perfect Days

Perfect Days (movie)

A feel-good film that sneaks up on you with gentle life lessons and an unexpectedly moving look at Tokyo’s public toilets. Plus, the soundtrack weaves seamlessly into each scene, making even the smallest moments feel like a celebration. It left me with a fresh sense of gratitude for daily life’s simplest routines.

Nosferatu

WATCH

Nosferatu (movie)

Visually gorgeous to the point where I’m already planning a Pinterest board for its haunting frames. Don’t expect a dense plot, but if you appreciate dark, poetic imagery, you’ll find it worth every lingering shot. It’s the kind of cinematic experience that stays with you long after the credits roll.

Lioness

WATCH

Lioness (series)

Action-packed and addictive—I binged the entire first season in two days. It’s rough around the edges in all the right ways, with characters that evolve just enough to keep the tension high. Each episode felt like a new revelation about how far people will go when cornered. Thanks to my friend Alex - an absolute goldmine for TV show recommendations.

Strangers on a Bench (podcast)

Tom Rosenthal’s random chats with everyday people made me realize how many untold stories walk right past us. I love how each conversation unfolds naturally, revealing surprising perspectives on life and connection. It’s a gentle reminder that a simple question can open a door to a world you never knew existed, and if you’re looking for a starting point, my favourite episodes are 5, 10, 7, 14, and 13 - in that order.

LISTEN  |  FAVOURITE

Mk.gee (music)

Lo-fi warmth meets subtle funk, making each track feel like a late-night confession you can’t turn away from. There’s an intimacy to this music that draws you in and keeps you listening for hidden layers. I keep finding new textures with each listen, like peeling back layers on a living, breathing soundscape.

Loewe

BUY

LOEWE

- Tomato Leaves hand cleanser

Yes, it’s pricey, but the tomato leaf scent is honestly worth every cent. Just put it in a visible place, and watch your guests be charmed by the smell as soon as they clean their hands (without water). It might just become your new favourite household indulgence. Perfect gift?

Tilde

ART

ÆON by Tilde Bay

Tilde Bay is a volcano of energy, and this publication captures her vision in its purest form. Crafted by Plethora, ÆON features a stunning editorial spread, polaroids, and a unique collaborative art piece that feels both intimate and expansive. It’s the kind of art you return to again and again, each time finding a fresh perspective.

Also, if you’re in Copenhagen, take a sunset stroll at Sophienholm to catch the outdoor exhibition. You can see my photos from it here.
