Mood Scent Bar
Mood Scent Bar, Poland's premier niche perfumery chain, has unveiled its latest boutique in Katowice, marking a significant milestone in its nationwide expansion.

Mood Scent Bar is no stranger to the art of storytelling, and stepping into their latest boutique in Katowice felt like entering the next chapter of a carefully penned narrative. This newest space is not just a shop - it’s an experience, where niche perfumes meet thoughtful architecture. Through a mix of film and digital photography, I set out to capture the atmosphere of a place that celebrates individuality, creativity, and the sensory magic of scent.

The boutique, designed by architect Zofia Wyganowska, reflects the brand’s ability to weave its identity into the fabric of every city it inhabits. In Katowice, the design speaks to the industrial yet modern essence of the region, with clean lines, earthy tones, and a warm, inviting glow. There’s a certain texture to the space - one that my film camera especially loved. The grain of the film seemed to complement the shop’s natural light and tactile details, making every shot feel timeless.

Mood Scent Bar is known for its meticulously curated selection of niche brands, and this boutique is no exception. From the evocative creations of D.S. & Durga to the artful compositions of Cire Trudon, each bottle feels like a tiny piece of art. Capturing these on digital allowed me to focus on the precision of their designs, the subtle reflections of glass, and the interplay of colour and light that makes each fragrance stand out.
Golden light dances across the shelves at Mood Scent Bar Katowice, showcasing niche fragrances and artisanal beauty, including the timeless elegance of Santa Maria Novella.

Using film allowed me to capture the space’s atmospheric charm. There’s something about the grain and depth of the film that complements the story Mood Scent Bar tells. The boutique felt like it was designed to be photographed in this way - its textures and colours resonated beautifully with the analogue medium, lending the images a sense of intimacy and nostalgia.

Photographing this space, I couldn’t help but appreciate how seamlessly Mood Scent Bar blends functionality with beauty. The design isn’t just about aesthetics - it’s about creating an experience. The layout invites visitors to slow down, engage their senses, and explore the world of niche perfumery in a way that feels personal and unhurried.

As I developed the film rolls from this shoot, I was struck by how much this boutique captures the ethos of Mood Scent Bar as a brand. It’s more than just a shop - it’s a destination for those who appreciate the art of scent. Whether you’re visiting to discover your next signature fragrance or simply to soak in the atmosphere, the Katowice boutique is a stunning new chapter in Mood Scent Bar’s story, one that I felt privileged to document.
